Tested: 100% Pure Herbal Detox Mask

I love a good detox especially because of all of the dirt and grime I'm exposed to when I am downtown.  I was keen to try the new masks released by 100 Percent Pure so I managed to find a store where I could sample both the detox and aqua masks.  As you can see, the detox mask was the clear winner for me and I've found that this has been one of my favorite detox masks to date!  It's effective, it smells great, and, let's be honest, it's absolute fun to walk around the house scaring others with your green faced self!  Read on to see why I reach for this mask as my go-to detox method!

Consistency: This mask comes out of the tube as a green cream that smells herbal and minty.  I love the convenience of the squeeze tube and I find that I don't need to apply much to cover my entire face with a thin layer of the product.  This is a clay based formula but its surprisingly easy to spread.  This dries fully in about 5-10 minutes on my face and I usually leave it on for about 10 minutes, after it has fully dried, to wash it off.  The process of washing this mask off is as easy as putting it on the face.  There is no residue left on my face after I rinse off the mask.  Some notable ingredients which I love are the French Green Clay, Astragalus Root, and Neem all of which are heavy hitters in drawing out impurities and helping with skin issues such as acne.

Ingredients:

Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Leaf Juice*, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water (Organic Rose Hydrosol)*,Montmorillonite (French Green Clay), Vegetable Glycerin, Extracts of Carum Petroselinum (Organic Parsley)*, Astragalus Membranaceus (Astragalus Root) and Taraxacum Officinale (Organic Dandelion)* Leaf and Root, Rosa Canina (Organic Rosehip) Seed Oil, Extracts of Arctium Lappa (Burdock) Root, Melia Azadirachta (Neem), Calendula (Organic Calendula)* Officinalis Flower, Echinacea (Organic Echinacea)* Purpurea, Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus) Globulus, Fucus Vesiculosis (Kelp), Curcuma Longa (Turmeric), Origanum Vulgare (Oregano) Leaf and Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/ Leaf, Lonicera Caprifolium (Japanese Honeysuckle), Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Essential Oil * Certified Organic

Experience: I love to apply this as not only a mask, but a spot treatment for my spots.  This is my go-to when I am suffering from hormonal breakouts and need a quick spot treatment to lessen the redness and swelling of my spots.  I find that the Clay truly draws out the impurities in my skin and the other ingredients such as Rosehip and Neem help to condition my skin for a clearer appearance.  My skin usually reacts badly to Rosehip Oil but I have no issues with the inclusion of this ingredient here.  Like I said beforehand, 10 minutes is all that it takes for me to fully receive the detox effects of this mask.  For that reason, I love to use this on any day whether I am busy or otherwise.  When I initially started using this mask, the paste did sting my skin a bit when I first started blending the mask on my face.  After a few uses, however, the sting became a more neutral, minty feeling.

I'd definitely recommend this mask, if not for the generous amount of product you get, then for the amazing, cleansing results.
