Juice Beauty Photo Pigments Makeup and Skincare Review
Sunday, February 26, 2017
Juice Beauty has always been on my radar ever since the day that I tried their Blemish Clearing cleanser (which was well-loved). Since then, I've not been too familiar with their line until I became very intrigued by their recent collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow on their Photo Pigments makeup line. I was elated when they sent me a package full of products from their Photo Pigments line and their skincare. I'm usually so picky with my skincare so I was very excited to see how theirs would hold up on my skin. This is a comprehensive review of all of the recent products I own from their Photo Pigments line as well as their Anti-Wrinkle skincare line! That includes the mascara, creme blush, lipstick, lip crayon, primer, and foundation from the Photo Pigments line. It also includes the Stem Cellular serum, cream, cleansing oil, and under eye mask! Tested: Root Pretty Cassandra Blush, Dolce Eyeshadow, Tan Rose Eyeshadow
Friday, April 1, 2016
Root Pretty has been a brand that I've wanted to try for a long while! I've never gotten to it because of my ever expanding makeup collection being a bit overwhelming! I was so excited when Terrin from Root Pretty contacted me a few weeks ago to see if I was interested in testing out some of their products. Obviously, I jumped on the chance and went ahead with the testing of my two current obsessions, their pressed powder blush in Cassandra and pressed eyeshadow in Dolce. There is a rarity in pressed powder blushes in the green beauty world( much to my chagrin), so I was very excited about these discoveries. I also love how eco-friendly they are by avoiding bulky packaging and just presenting the item in pans to fit into a z-palette or any other palette. I've been reaching for the Cassandra Blush every day and the Dolce eyeshadow for special occasions. Read on to find out why these pressed options are my new favorites!
Tested: Gressa Lumiere Luminous Complexion Fluid ( Amelia)
Wednesday, October 14, 2015
It is a fact that without blush, I don't quite look human. I owe a lot to blush to say the least. I've recently converted to cream blush recently to elevate that glow from within factor and that (along with some very convincing pictures from my favorite bloggers) is what spurred me to test out the Gressa Lumiere liquid blush in Amelia. You see, I had a phase a few years back when all I would wear was peachy orange blush. In the summer, it gave me a bright pop of color. In the winter, I didn't care that it defied seasonal color laws of beauty because, hey, orange just worked really well to brighten up my complexion and I was not going to give it up and look like a white walker from Game of Thrones. I have since gravitated towards more pink hues for my cheeks but one swipe of Amelia has completely re-instilled the faith in orange and I may never go back!
Favorites: Spring Break Edit
Tuesday, March 31, 2015
Spring is one of my favorite seasons and traveling is another favorite of mine. You can imagine how excited I am for this post as I am typing this right in the middle of my vacation! Spring break is one of the shorter vacations of the year. Due to this nature, I like to pack all of my favorites and essentials with a very minimalistic and versatile mindset. I usually focus on one of every essential, so in that vein, I'll pack one multi-use blush, one dress-up-or-down shirt, one day-to-night coat, and so on. I've gathered some body, skin, makeup, and clothing favorites that I have taken with me to the East Coast for a week! I know the trend is to escape to warmer climates, but since I'm coming from average-of-90s California, this is more of a reverse weather situation! The favorites that are mentioned are still completely non-weather specific save for the coat so read on for my specially curated favorites for the spring mini-vacay!
