I've been really into Korean Beauty as of late! I blame Glow Recipe for really instigating my recent obsession with all things K-Beauty since they've really helped me take most of the guess work out of tracking which K-Beauty products were on the cleaner end of the spectrum ingredients-wise. I've discovered one of my favorite Korean brands, Yuri Pibu, through them( and I'm sure I'll discover more under-the-radar brands in the future thanks to their great lineup). Today, I'm reviewing two cleaner K-Beauty bestsellers for you so that perhaps you can catch a ride on the obsession train with me! One is my Holy-Grail-serum-of-all-time Yuri Pibu's Artichoke Power Essence and the other is an equally effective innovative product in the name of Blithe's Tundra Chaga Pressed Serum. Both of these are chronic bestsellers at Glow Recipe and I've got all of the details for you! Read till the end for a special $5 promo code!

Experience:
This essence is like nothing I've ever tried before. It comes out of the dropper as a milky white
gel-cream consistency. This essence
sinks in almost immediately and the most amazing thing about this product is
the deep moisturization that can be felt after application even though it is
such a light serum. I've never
associated such deep moisturization with light essences,so the Artichoke Power
Essence really proved me wrong.
Artichoke Essence is said to really moisturizer and improve skin
elasticity while tightening pores. This
product contains 60% of Artichoke Essence
which is combined with squalene and ceramide to improve the smoothness
of skin. The Ingredients in the Essence
are also generally very clean( as is all ingredients lists across the Yuri Pibu
board). I constantly mix this with my
Maya Chia Super Couple oil and these two create an incredibly lightweight but
powerful combo that zaps at almost all of my skin concerns including
combination skin, acne, hyperpigmentation, healing scars, and small fine
lines. I can't express enough how much I
love this stuff but, if actions speak louder than words, then you can bet I
already have a back up in my skincare closet.

Experience:
This was SUCH an intriguing product since I've never tried a
pressed serum before. The consistency is
akin to a gelatinous pudding ( I had great joy in scooping this out of the
pot!). I realized that a little goes a
very long way with this product so I definitely over applied my first time
around which led to an unhappy, sticky-faced situation. I find that the ingredients in this product
isn't as clean as that of Yuri Pibu's but it is still much cleaner than other
products in the K-Beauty realm. The
Tundra Chaga is supposed to treat, nourish, and brighten the skin. It is extracted and cooled in order to
preserve its original nutrition while combined with fermented, lightweight oils
including Argan and Olive oil. I find
that my skin doesn't react very well to any fermented ingredients in skincare
so I have to be careful to use just a small amount of this each time. I do find that my skin is much bouncier after
I use this product and I see a general brightening of my complexion( though it
has not done anything definitive for my acne scars). I can see how this product would be amazing
for those who are just starting to worry about maturing skin and who want a
deep hydration without any heavy products! This product smells very fresh and
clean! I am incredibly curious about trying out the other pressed serums from
Blithe's lineup after testing this one!

I have really been enjoying the artichoke essence, but I HATE the packaging. I have such a hard time getting the product into the dropper, and I end up dispersing either more or less product than I had intended. A pump or maybe even a jar would be so much easier :/
ReplyDeleteI was trying to get the last drops of my Artichoke Essence out the other day! It wouldn't budge, so I understand your struggles! Hopefully they do change it because I know that their other products have pumps!
DeleteThis product seems to like very impressive and something, is it for dry skin too? If this is for dry skin too then I will surely going to try. Thanks for sharing with us
