[Curated Box] Goodbeing February 2016

Another month, another Good Being Box!  I can honestly say that I enjoyed this box much more than the last box that I reviewed here!  A large reason for that is the inclusion of a full-sized Vapour Organics Beauty Elixir! I'm a huge sucker for lip products (as you know) and I especially love a good dark berry/red color!   This month is packed with great offerings such as a Me to We Health Rafiki bracelet, Shea Radiance Body Creams, Smart Ash Teeth Whitener, the aforementioned Vapour Lip Gloss, as well as three samples of Kahina Giving Beauty's beautifully formulated Brightening Serum! Read on for my initial impressions!

Vapour Organics Beauty Elixir Plumping Gloss (Bitten)

Experience:
I loved wearing this gloss!  This gloss is a medium consistency that isn't sticky or too thick.  It has a fresh, fruity smell and sits extremely comfortably on the lips.  I also found that I could build it up to an intense berry red or just give my lips a flush of pink with one thin layer.  I absolutely loved how comfortable and versatile this product was and have been carrying it around in my daily makeup bag since receiving the box.  Actions do speak louder than words! My only qualm is that it does not last very long if I were eating or drinking.  I always need to reapply this if I want the intensity of the first application, however, it does fade very nicely.  It leaves my lips with a wash of pink once it fades and does not fade unevenly.

Shea Radiance Advanced Firming Body Cream

Ingredients:
Deionized Water, Butryospermum Parkii (Unrefined Shea Butter), Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut) Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Vegetable Glycerin, Arachidyl Alcohol and Behenyl Alcohol and Arachidyl Glucoside(Sugar-based Emulsifier), Cetearyl Alcohol & Cetearyl Glucoside (Sugar-based Emulsifier), Chondrus Crispus (Marine Extracts), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Phenethyl Alcohol and Ethylhexylglycerin (Paraben Free Preservative), Niacinamide, Collagen Peptides, Kigelia Africana Extract, Vitamin E, Panthenol, Caffeine, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Fruit Extract, Psidium (Guava) Fruit Extract, Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Extract, Xantham Gum, Sodium Phytate and Essential Oils.

Experience:
This is a creamy lotion that is not too light or thick.  It absorbed very easily and quickly onto my skin.  It also does not have any strong, offensive scent and it sat very comfortably on my skin.  Since these are my initial impressions, I cannot say that I noticed any significant firming effect.  However, my absolute favorite part about each and every one of the creams from Shea Radiance is the comfortable feeling that they all leave on my skin.  I am usually a person who hates body creams as they are too thick and tend to leave my skin greasy.  None of the Shea Radiance Body Creams had that effect, even the thickest of the bunch! I am extremely impressed due to that fact! The Shea Butter that is a large component of all three body creams is pure and effective in nourishing the skin.

Experience:
This was my favorite cream out of the three that I was sent due to the fact that it did seem to give my legs a healthy sheen once I applied it.  Again, this settles in very nicely to the skin and I found the scent to be pleasant.  This was the lightest in texture out of the three body creams that I tested.

Experience:
Here's where I was pleasantly surprised.  I was actually hesitant to try this product since it seemed to be a thick cream consistency in the pot upon my initial encounter.  However, I decided to test it out for the purpose of reviewing all the products  in the box and I am so glad that I did!  Do not let the whipped butter consistency fool you, this cream absorbs just as easily and comfortably into the skin as its two sisters!  I actually liked this product almost as much as the Brightening Body Cream!  I find that this is perfect for those with drier skin.

Bedrock + Bloom Smart Ash

Ingredients:
Wildcrafted Activated Coconut Shell Charcoal, All Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay, Certified Organic Frankincense, Certified Organic Orange Peel Extract, Certified Organic Mint Extract

Experience:
I cannot claim any major whitening effect as this is an initial review after only having used this a few times!  I found that this teeth whitening powder was actually a bit of a mess to apply as the instructions stated that you had to wet your toothbrush and apply a bit of the powder using the wet toothbrush.  It is a very loose powder so it ended up everywhere on my sink.  Overall, I am still keen on seeing if this product does what it claims, but I disliked the application process and, due to that fact, may not purchase the full sized product.

Kahina Giving Beauty Brightening Serum

Experience:
I absolutely loved this serum from Kahina!  I've dabbled with the brand previously and loved their Eye Serum as well.  This is a very light, gel-like serum that claims to brighten the skin(hence the name).  I have only used one sample of this (the box had three), so I cannot  confirm the claim just yet.  However, my initial thoughts are that this serum is amazingly comfortable and thin.  This layers well with other oils that I use at night and is also a great stand-alone product.  I did find that my face had a nice glow after using this and it did not break me out at all.  I may actually purchase a full-size of this product!  This product made my skin feel so very comfortable after application and I can't wait to see some long-term brightening effects!

Me to We Health Rafiki Bracelet

Experience:
This bracelet is extremely meaningful as each one was handcrafted by women in Kenya who are able to provide for their families through the means of creating these bracelets.  With each purchase of this Health bracelet, healthcare is given to a child in a developing community.  This bracelet can be worn as a necklace or headband among other possibilities!  I like the bright, vibrant pop of color!  As much as I enjoy the message and purpose of this bracelet, it isn't completely my style, so I will be giving this away to a friend.  However, I'll definitely let them know what has gone into the creation of this beautiful bracelet and what the company stands for!

Thats a wrap, folks!
