[Curated Box] Goodbeing March 2016
Friday, March 18, 2016
This month's Goodbeing box was a hit across all grounds. I had seen a few pictures of the items in the box a day before mine turned up in the mail and I was quite concerned that there would be a deodorant in the box (I had just purchased one from Meow Meow Tweet). Thankfully, it seems that the ladies a Goodbeing could read my mind and, instead, surprised me with a solid perfume! I loved the variety and quality of all of the items in this month's box. I'm also so excited about the new brands that I've discovered through Goodbeing. Without further ado, read on for my in depth review of the items included in this month's stunner Goodbeing box!
Orglamix Illume Cream Luminizer
Ingredients:
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Euphorihia Cerifera (Candellila) Wax, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract. May contain [+/-]: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica (CI 77019) & Love.
Experience:
This completely satisfied my recent highlighter cravings! I've never tested the RMS Master Mixer (though I've heard its hard to blend on those with fairer skin), but I would imagine that this is a close dupe! This imparts the most amazingly rose gold lit-from-within look and I've been reaching for this for the past few weeks! This also doesn't fee greasy or thick on the skin and wears well throughout the day. I'm absolutely obsessed! I also feel that the amount given in the box will last for quite a while as a little bit goes a long way!
American Provenance Solid Perfume in Pinups & Paramours
Ingredients:
Grapeseed Oil, Beeswax, Essential Oil Blend.
Experience:
Described as "Sweet, Fresh, and Tropical" this scent is out of this world. I'm a huge sucker for more natural perfume options and this one really taps into my fruity, summer scent obsession. I love how smoothly this applies as I just have to dab into the pot and apply it to my wrists and base of my neck. This has hints of coriander, Mandarin, and Tangerine. My only qualm with this product is that I find that the scent doesn't last longer than an hour or so without reapplication.
Pangea Organics Lip Balm in Pyrenees Lavender with Cardamom
Ingredients:
HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL*, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX)*, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) OIL*, LECITHIN (SOY)*, ALCOHOL (ETHANOL), ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM (CARDAMOM) OIL*, LAVANDULA HYBRIDA (LAVENDER) OIL*, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL*, CITRUS SINENSIS (SWEET ORANGE ) OIL*, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER*, CALOPHYLLUM TACAMAHACA (TAMANU) OIL*, ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) GEL*, TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E) *ORGANIC INGREDIENTS. THIS PRODUCT IS GLUTEN-FREE.
Experience:
This lip balm was a complete surprise in the best way possible. I've always stuck with my trusty Dr. Bronner's lip balm, however, I must say that I've been converted to the lip balms of Pangea Organics. I hate tacky, thick lip balms and yet I'm always plagued with really dry, chapped lips. This is the holy grail of lip balms that I've tested to this day. I love the larger-than-average size of this lip balm and how it applies very thinly and comfortably with a moisturizing punch. My only issue is that I had received the Lavender scent and I'm not a huge fan of the scent. I usually love fruity scents or florals like Jasmine but I've never liked Lavender. Thankfully the Lavender in this lip balm isn't overwhelming at all.
Rafiki Water Bracelet
Experience:
I received a red bracelet from Rafiki in my last Goodbeing box and mentioned that, while I love the cause, the bracelet wasn't exactly my style. I have the same sentiments for the bracelet that was in my box this month. I think it's beautifully made and the quality is great, however, I've gifted this to my friend!
Prim Botanicals The Body Oil
Ingredients:
Corylus Avellana (Hazelnut Oil), Camellia Oleifera (Camellia Oil), Prunus Dulcis (Almond Oil), Carapa Guianensis (Andiroba Oil), Pentaclethra Macroloba (Pracaxi Oil), Proprietary blend of: Jasminum (Jasmine), Rosa Centifolia (Rose), Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper), Citrus Bergamia (Bergaptene-free Bergamot), Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary)
Experience:
This body oil reigns as one of my favorites that I've tried! The formulation is not too thick or heavy and the scent is a beautiful mixture of Jasmine, Rose, and Bergamot. I've tested this by applying it on my dry legs after showering and this has helped keep my legs nourished and moisturized well into the next day. I'm one who hates anything too heavy on my body and this oil was beautiful in both consistency and scent!
I loved this month's box as much as the last and am so impressed with the consistency of great products that I've received from Goodbeing. My favorite part about these boxes has been the fact that I've been able to try so many new brands without feeling that it has overwhelmed my beauty cabinet!

The body oil sounds amazing!xx
ReplyDeleteIt truly is! The scent is amazing and it's not too heavy on the skin!
DeleteI got basically the exact things you got haha. love the photos ♥
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Thank you! You're too kind! I loved everything that was in the box and I feel like they understand what I'd prefer!
DeleteI keep debating whether I need to subscribe to this or not... I love the idea/products but I hate the idea of getting things like the bracelet I wouldn't wear. (Even though i have many hippie friends, I'm not sure who I would even gift it to...) My other option is to go with Petite Vour, or just be happy with my Beauty Heroes :)
