Collectively Curated: Honest Beauty Review Part 3- Honest Cream Foundation (Snow) , Everything Makeup Palette (LE), Sheer Lipstick Crayon ( Chestnut Kiss)

It's been a while since my last post on this beautiful line of makeup and skincare.  Since then, there've been many exciting new releases!  One of them is a Limited Edition Everything Palette that is so aptly named in the way that a full face of color makeup can be easily achieved in using this single palette.  I've also decided to test out their Cream Foundation in Snow as I've found that the Honest Beauty Tinted Moisturizer that I previously raved about is actually a bit darker than my skin tone!  Lastly, Honest Beauty had a Black Friday Deal that allowed subscribers to use a promo code to add a free Chestnut Kiss Lipstick Crayon onto their bundle at no extra cost.  I was a bit skeptical of their lip line, but I'm a believer after testing them out myself!  Grab a cup of tea and let's get started!

Everything Makeup Palette

Consistency: These shadows are amazingly soft and blendable.  However, I find that they are not as evenly pigmented upon one swipe as their usual trio eyeshadows palettes.  They also contain shimmer unlike their usual matte eyeshadows which makes this a very nice Limited Edition surprise. The shadows do not have any fall out and I've enjoyed all of the colors offered as I find that their color range in this palette is very well-rounded.  I'd also like to note that these are all new colors so I find it to be a great deal.  The eyeshadow colors are Charcoal Shimmer, Pewter Shimmer, Everyday Canvas, Champagne Shimmer, Bronze Shimmer.  The cream blush spreads well on the cheeks and does not feel heavy or tacky.  It is a nice wearable nude rose shade called Truly Thrilling.  The included lip cremes were Mulberry Kiss (the darker berry) and Honey Kiss (the nude).  I found that Mulberry Kiss spread evenly and Honey Kiss was a bit drier.  Mulberry Kiss looked great on, however, it tended to slip around my lips.  Honey Kiss did not have that issue as it was drier.

Experience:  I loved all of the eyeshadows in this palette.  I find that I reach for this palette more often during the days when I have a special event and I want to play up my eyes.  The shimmers are not too dramatic so I find I can still comfortably wear all of the eyeshadows without feeling that I'm overdone.  The shadows lasted perfectly fine on a 10 hour wear day with only slight creasing that smoothed away once I swiped it once.  I love to use the Everyday Canvas just below my eyebrows to define them.  The cream blush also wore really well on a 10 hour day out and I found that the color stayed on my cheeks throughout the whole day.  My issues mainly lay with the two lipstick crayons included in the palette.  Mulberry Kiss is a beautiful berry that is right up my alley, however, I found that it tended to accentuate any cracks I had on my lips.  It also needs to be reapplied frequently as it slips off easily.  Honey Kiss is just not a good nude for my skin color and I found that it made me look dull.  It is also quite dry and didn't feel as comfortable on the lips.

L: Lipstick Crayon in Chestnut Kiss, R: Cream Foundation in Snow

Cream Foundation (Snow)

Consistency: This is a full coverage cream foundation that is easily blendable albeit slightly heavy compared to a tinted moisturizer on the skin.  I still had no issues blending it into my skin with my fingers. This color Snow is a bit lighter than my squinting but I found that I could make it work with a bit of bronzer.

Ingredients:
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mica, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succinate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Glyceryl Behenate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Cire de Carnauba), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Flower Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Tocopherol, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Water (Aqua, Eau), Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate. May Contain +/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491/77492/77499)

Experience: I love using this cream foundation on the days when I am in a rush to head out the door.  I tend to use clean fingers to dot it around my face and then use either my fingers or a brush to blend it into my skin.  This color, as stated above, is a bit lighter than my skin color but not drastically so I find that I can make it work.  I did not want to move up a color to Linen because I've actually sampled Linen before and it is much too pink for my neutral skin tone.  I find that this wears well throughout a 10 hour day and I don't usually need any powder to set it during the winter time.  It does feel heavier than just a standard tinted moisturizer but I felt like it had a thinner texture than the Honest Tinted Moisturizer.  I do wish that Honest Beauty made more foundation shades for different women with Neutral skin tones as I find their foundations to be too yellow or too pink.

Lipstick Crayon (Chestnut Kiss)

Consistency:  I found that this lipstick crayon was much more moisturizing than the Mulberry and Honey Kiss in the Everything Makeup Palette.  I believe this is because they have two lipstick crayon formulations and this is the sheer version.  This smells fruity and feels very moisturizing on the lips.  This does not slide around my lips but does feel slightly tacky to the touch.  Chestnut Kiss is a beautiful rosy nude shade.

Ingredients:
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Ricinoleate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Polyglyceryl-10 Decaoleate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax (Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Cire de Candelilla), Cetyl Ricinoleate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Cire de Carnauba), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax (Cera Alba, Cire d’Abeille), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentaoleate, Garcinia Indica Seed Butter, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Water (Aqua, Eau), Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Triethyl Citrate, Glyceryl Undecylenate, Alcohol. May Contain +/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Carmine (CI 75470), Iron Oxides (CI 77491/77492/77499), Mica (CI 77019), Red 6 (CI 15850)

Experience:  I enjoyed wearing this lipstick crayon for everyday purposes as I find that this is a beautiful color for any kind of look.  This happens to be a perfect nude color for me without washing my skin out.  I've kept this in my travel makeup bag frequently due to the ease of wear of this lip crayon.  I do find that I need to reapply this after eating as it wears off quite a lot during the process but I don't mind the reapplication.  This also does not leave any kind of stain on the lips.
