[Curated Box] Honest Beauty Bundle Eyeshadow Trio (Heather Mauve), Depuffed Eye Gel, Eyeliner Pencil (Eye Opener)

I find that Honest Beauty's forte lies with its affordable, clean beauty color makeup options.  I do, however, deeply enjoy using the Depuffed Cooling Eye Gel as a staple in my morning Summer AM routine.  Honest Beauty really hits it out of the park with their affordability, convenience (they're now at Ulta!), and range of products with minimal packaging.  This time, I tested out another shadow trio in Heather Mauve (a wonderful color option that is still wearable for everyday), and the Eye Opener pencil that is in a classic nude shade.  These are products that have been constantly raved about and I'm here to offer my two cents!

Depuffed Eye Gel

Water (Aqua, Eau), Cetearyl Olivate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Glycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Caffeine, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Allantoin, Cetearyl Glucoside, Panthenol, Bisabolol, Arginine, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Brassica Napus (Rapeseed) Seedcake Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Barbary Fig) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Camellia Oleifera (Green Tea) Seed Oil, Cetyl Esters, Montmorillonite, Coconut Alkanes, Xanthan Gum, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Benzoate, Stearic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)

I enjoyed this eye gel more than the first eye product I had tested from Honest Beauty.  While the purpose of the first eye products was for aging eyes that craved moisture, this product is meant for those tired, puffy AM eyes that I inherently have due to years in the books!  I loved how cooling the metal dispensing piece on the product was against my skin.  Although I do not suffer so much from puffy eyes as I do from dark circles, I still felt that the cooling effect of the product allowed the delicate skin under my eyes to tighten a bit after application.  While this product didn't do much in terms of significant dark circle reduction, I've found that there's no product out there that does truly reduce my dark circles.  I really just need to sleep more, something that I'm still struggling with!  Other than those factors that can't be helped, this product really does wonders to soothe and cool morning eyes. I'm a believer in this product due to this fact.

Eyeshadow Trio (Heather Mauve)

Mica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Stearate, Magnesium Carbonate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium Dehydroacetate. May Contain +/-: Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491/77492/77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Ultramarines (CI 77007)

One of, if not my, favorite products that Honest Beauty has under its product arsenal are their Eyeshadow Trios.  I find that their eyeshadow formulation is truly top notch and I almost can't believe I'm able to snag their products at such an incredible price point.  This Heather Mauve trio caught my eye due to the neutral plum shades that seemed like a fresh approach to an everyday eye look (vs. the browns that I always wear on a day to day basis).  The pigmentation in this palette is incredibly impressive.  There is no fall out when these colors are switched and they apply buttery smooth with amazing blendability.  I had absolutely no complaints with this palette itself.  However, I did end up gifting this to Melissa from guidetowellness since the color shades didn't exactly suit my skin tone.  I found that the colors would look better on her!

L-R: Eyeliner Pencil (Eye Opener), Dusty Mauve, Deep Plum, Shimmer Shell Pink

Eyeliner Pencil (Eye Opener)

Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax (Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Cire de Candelilla), Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Cire de Carnauba), Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate. May Contain +/-: Mica (CI 77019), Iron Oxides (CI 77491/77492/77499)

This was a purchase that I ended up picking due to the fact that I'd seen a lot of other beauty bloggers rave about this particular shade in their Eyeliner Pencil lineup.  I'm a huge fan of playing up the eyes, so it was a no-brainer for me to test out this product.  Since I suffer from dark circles, I'm always on a lookout for a product that can brighten and open up the eyes.  I did enjoy the look that this product gave my eyes.  Once I applied it on the inner corners of my bottom lash line, I had no problems with smudging or fading throughout the rest of my 10 hour day.  I did find that the pencil did drag a bit and was hard in formulation when I applied it.  I enjoy pencils that are softer and smoother in application, but I did find that the product did a great job with its staying power and overall look.

Honest Beauty truly hasn't disappointed yet with their product selection and I cannot wait for my next bundle!  They've recently released a contouring palette as well as a new blending brush so I'm very excited for the next bundle!
