[Curated Box] Goodbeing May 2016
Sunday, May 22, 2016
Goodbeing really switched it up this week and gave me a well-rounded box of natural products! I've got something for the face, eyes, feet, and even mouth! What I enjoyed about this month's selection was that I would have never thought to purchase these items on my own and yet I enjoyed using them for their unique qualities (save for one, but I'll get to that in a second). I'm glad to say that I was over pleasantly surprised once again.
Board and Batten Facial Steam
Ingredients:
ambucus nigra (elder) flower*,Trifolium pratense (red clover) blossom , Calendula (Calendula officinalis)*, Organic Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)* , Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)*, Juniperus communis (blue juniper) berries, Chrysanthemum (chrysanthemum) blossoms ,Rosa canina (rosehip)*, Althaea officinalis (marshmallow) leaf, Equisetum arvense (horsetail), Carthamus tinctorius (safflower)petals
Experience:
This was only the second facial steam I had ever tried. I'm usually quite lazy with these things but I was pleasantly surprised that this was a quick and easy process. This bag will last me for quite a few uses! I just used hot water and poured it on a portion of the herbs into a large bowl. I had a fresh cleansed face that I had just prepped with my night routine including oils and serums. I then let the bowl soak the herbs for about 5 minutes with a towel over it. Once I removed the towel, I placed my face in front of the bowl to allow the steam to open my pores. It smelled of fresh floral herbs and was an overall soothing experience. I did feel that my face was more moisturized and plump afterwards. It felt like a quick spa ritual, and that is why I enjoyed it so much!
Moondani Natural Breath Mist
Ingredients:
Distilled Water, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Ginger Extract, Cardamom Oil, Fennel Oil, Natural Flavors
Experience:
This mist is such a lifesaver! I'm always the one who forgets to restock on breath mints or gum during the most important times of need! I've been using this non-stop since I received it in the latest box. This breath mint works very well, both when I need a refresher after my lunch break as well as in the morning when I feel like I don't have such great breath! I've also been giving it to my friends for a quick spray in the middle of the day as an alternative to breath mints! I always feel great pulling it out since the packaging is very well done to boot!
London's Pedisoaks Foot Polish & Foot Masque
Ingredients:
Polish:
Lava salt, Dead Sea salt, Citric acid, Ascorbic acid, Flaxseed, Pumice, Walnut shells, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Peppermint Essential oil
Masque:
Dead Sea clay, Organic Matcha, Beeswax, Menthol, Coconut oil, Sweet Almond oil, Vitamin E, Aloe, Algae Extract, Lemongrass Essential oil, Peppermint Essential oil
Experience:
According to Goodbeing, this product is from a subscription based foot care company. I've never spent much time in the bath focusing on my feet, but I'm always open to trying new things! I found that this Polish worked very well to smooth even the roughest parts of my heels. It can get a bit messy in the tub but I find that it washes down the drain just fine. I also really enjoyed the Masque due to its moisturizing and softening properties, however, it was a tedious process trying to wash off every bit of it from my foot. It left my bath tub a bit slippery so I'm still trying to find the best way to use it without having to go through the whole process of washing everything it's touched after using it (a slippery bathtub isn't so safe!).
Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Mascara (Waterproof, Abyss)
Ingredients:
WATER (AQUA), COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX (THICKENER), EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX (THICKENER), ACRYLATES CROSSPOLYMER, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, STEARIC ACID, GLYCERYL STEARATE, POLYISOBUTENE, PHENOXYETHANOL, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE SODIUM HYDROXIDE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, STEARETH-21, COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL, PANTHENOL (VITAMIN B), MACROCYSTIS PYRIFERA (KELP) EXTRACT, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, DISODIUM EDTA, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, IRON OXIDES CI 77491, 77492, CI 77499
Experience:
This was the one product that I absolutely didn't enjoy in the box. I'm quite the mascara hoarder as it is one of my favorite beauty products next to lipstick. I love big, fluttery lashes that stand out in a look. This mascara, however, gave me no drama, no volume, no more length, and not much of anything. I found that it darkened my existing lashes just a bit and that was pretty much it. I'm not quite sure what to do with it at this point! Perhaps I'll layer it with my other trusty mascaras. Although I love Pacifica as a brand, their mascaras have never worked on me. I've also tried the Dream Big mascara and it didn't do much for my lashes either!
That's a wrap! If you're interested in trying out this versatile green beauty box, then start your journey HERE !
I've got an amazing giveaway of this box for you that is going to run on my Instagram so run on over to CLEANCURATOR !
Big Love,
Vanessa

Good review! I have been on look out for a good foot treatment with scrub and cream. I think this would work well for my rough feet.
