Tested: Leahlani Skincare Mermaid Mask

Today, I'm writing about my favorite mask at the moment.  It's Wednesday and I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume you, like me, need a skin pick-me-up on hump day.  I am bringing you the ultimate skin-soothing mask.  Leahlani's Mermaid Mask is loaded with ingredients that are powerfully good for your skin such as Hawaiian raw honey, Hawaiian Spirulina, and Chlorella.  I find that it soothes, evens, softens, and calms my skin after application.  A name such as the Mermaid Mask may make this mask seem like a fantasy that is too good to be true, but trust me, the fantasy is real.  Read on for my detailed thoughts and opinions!

I first recieved the mask as a sample when I placed an order for the Pikake Perfume(amazing product) from Leah of Leahlani.  It was curiosity at first sight when I opened the cap and saw this deep emerald green mask and smelled its sweet, tropical aroma.  Needless to say I quickly finished my sample and immediately placed an order for the full size.  

I was given a scooping device to keep the product sanitary.  I usually just need one scoop and place it in my palm to put just a few drops of water.  I mix the water and the Mermaid Mask to form a paste that is more on the liquid side.  The dry consistency of the mask is of thick honey and once you add water, it is lighter and still smooth so that it is easy to apply. The mask easily spreads into a thin layer across my face and I wait for about 15 minutes.  I feel a tightness after the mask starts to dry but it isn't uncomfortable at all and the task of washing it off is extremely easy and quick. This is when the beauty of the mask truly comes out.  My skin is left extremely soft and even toned while the bumps that I previously had due to any acne have calmed down and flattened out.  I like to put this mask on every other day right before I hop into the shower and wash it off after the 15 minute mark in the shower.  It's truly done wonders for my skin and I feel that I cannot rave about it enough! 

Another way that I like to use the mask is as spot treatment when I am having any extremely stubborn spots.  It helps to calm down the redness while aiding the acne to heal faster.  I also find that this product has helped lighten some scars I've had from the past through continual use.  This product is a home run on all accounts.  

Honestly, I would choose this mask over the others that I own if I were forced to only keep one in my daily routine!  I cannot sing enough praises about the mask or Leahlani as a brand.  I have placed two orders from Leahlani so far and am planning many more purchases in the future.  Leah is a sweet and responsive seller who has always quickly shipped out my order and paid attention to certain samples that I requested.  She's also extremely in tune with her customers and it shows on her Instagram @leahlaniskincare .
